BREMER KAFFEEHAUS-ORCHSTER
Coffee house music of the 21st Century - classical music, swing and much, much more

Concerts
In addition to our own series of concerts given at the "Glocke" Concert Hall in Bremen (where we present four programmes per year) we are periodically on the road to give guest performances - within Germany and the European neighbourhood. Please see Events for further information.

Accompanying events
In addition to giving concerts we have found it to be an interesting challenge to enrich various public and private social, business and political events with a relaxed acoustic ambience, an artistic touch as well as our special and classy coffee house allure by playing our music there.

Karaoke concerts
For some time we have been offering "sing-along concerts that invite you and your guests - or even a whole concert hall - to sing along with the orchestra. Folk songs and songs from the olden or not so olden days - we will be happy to guide your guests in any pitch that is easy to master.
Recorded productions
Since 1995 the Bremer Kaffeehaus-Orchester has been recording music that represents the "state of the art" of coffee house music current at the time. This music is available on CDs (for instance here in the Shop) and as downloads offered by iTunes and other providers. And we are thrilled to see that it keeps making new friends all over the world.

Music production
tailored to your need

Order your own compositions and arrangements: Our own arranging and composing experience enables us to arrange music of every type on demand - or to even compose something new - in a way that makes them become modern and distinctive music matching the occasion as desired.
For instance a striking opening fanfare, a company hymn, even a complete opera (*) - or an instrumental version of that unforgettable song to which you looked deeply into your partner's eyes for the very first time...

(*) of course in collaboration with professional texters.
Artistic cooperations
of all kinds enrich and extend the work of the five men in tails. The spectre ranges from the Berlin Comedian Harmonists and the Bremen Musical Theatre, the Viennese musical storyteller Marko Simsa and the writer Elke Heidenreich to the Kontrapunkt Music Theatre of Düsseldorf and the integrative art project Blaumeier-Atelier Bremen, in collaboration with which the BREMER KAFFEEHAUS-ORCHESTER put the opera "Carmen" on stage with huge success.
Furthermore we have enjoyed working with the Bremer Kinder- und Jugendkantorei (Bremen Children's and Teen Choir) and its enterprising director, Ilka Hoppe, for several years. In addition to various musical fairy tale shows we were able to realise the historical anti-fascist musical play "The Red Reporters", the "Threepenny Opera", Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in between Mendelssohn and German pop music revue in cooperation with her. As well as "La Bohème or a Life for School???", a veritable self-composed vampire opera for children freely adapted from Puccini.
You will find more information about our current productions under Projects.
